How do I complete a W-8BEN form?

The following information contains guidance notes for the completion of a W-8BEN Form. These notes should be read alongside the official IRS instructions that are available on the  www.irs.gov , website and also on our website .

The W-8BEN form should be completed in either blue or black ink. If correction fluid (Tip-ex) or correction tape are used the forms will be rejected by the IRS.
