Transfer Shares From Another Broker

Transfer from a UK / International broker (excluding US / Canadian)

Existing TD Customers

To transfer stock that is currently held for you by another broker complete and return our Asset Transfer Form and we will do the rest.

The Transfer process normally takes about 6 weeks.

We do not charge a transfer fee, but there may be an exit fee from your current provider.

New TD customers

You will need to open a Trading Account with Nominee facilities.

Apply online

Once your account is open and you have your account number, complete and return our Asset Transfer Form.

Transfer Shares from a US and / or Canadian Broker

Existing TD Customers

If stocks are held electronically with another broker complete & sign the American/Canadian Asset Transfer Form.

This acts as a written instruction to your existing broker to transfer specific stocks.

New to TD

You will need to open a Trading Account with Nominee facilities.

Apply online

Once your account is open and you have your account number, complete and return our American/Canadian Asset Transfer Form as in the process above.

Transfer in an existing ISA

To transfer an existing ISA to us, complete and return our ISA Transfer Form and we will do the rest.

The Transfer process normally takes about 4-6 weeks.

We do not charge a transfer fee, but there may be an exit fee from your current provider.

Transfer shares into my ISA

Although it is not possible to transfer existing share holdings directly into an ISA, we can help you sell them and re-purchase them within the ISA wrapper; this is called BED & ISA.
